Emmy says: Great fight scenes in this one. The driving force of the story are the two villains and they are just flat, shallow characters. The whole movie suffers because of this. I feel like a lot must have been left on the cutting room floor, I cannot believe the original script had such poor antagonists. Still some funny lines and great CGI work. 7/10.
Jeff says: Good acting, bad situation. Good idea, bad execution. Good action, bad story. This is a film of opposites. Hardy does an excellent job of showing a beaten, broken man in an abusive relationship – but that’s not fun. Carnage and Shriege are interesting, but they’re paper thin caricatures. The fight sequences are well shot and interesting, but there’s not enough story to support them. This could have been good, but at least it was still mostly fun. 7/10.
