Emmy says: I have fond memories of this movie from when I was a kid. I’m glad to say that this rewatch proved it to be just as fun as I remember. The special effects do not look overly dated and work well with the setting. I definitely enjoyed the comedy in the acting and will end up watching this again. 8/10.
Jeff says: I remember this movie fondly too. This watch, it seemed … shorter? … than I remember. I guess in the 30 years since this came out movies have become more stuffed full of plot. Actually, I am amazed at how much of it I remembered (before it happened). A simple premise, with a moralistic conclusion. The entertainment is in the antics and special effects generated by ILM in the pre-Jurassic Park days. Being story-driven, the aging CG can be easily overlooked. 8/10.
